I’ll work with you to design organizational systems that seamlessly blend into the rhythms of your life so that they’re effortless to use and make your life easier, not harder.

I’ve spent years tinkering with spaces in my own home - implementing systems and tweaking them. Once using them becomes second nature to my family, I know I’ve hit the jackpot…and then I start looking for the next space to tackle.

My professional organizing business is located in Great Falls, Virginia, where I live with my husband and teenage son who are thrilled when I organize for others because it keeps me from moving things around in our house.

    We’ll bring a fresh perspective and creative ideas on how to make the spaces in your home work better for everyone who lives there.

    When you hire Second Nature, you are hiring judgement-free help to coach you through decluttering and organizing. We will encourage and and keep you motivated from our first phone call through project wrap-up.

  • Please don’t! Seeing your home in its “natural” state will help us understand how you actually use your spaces, and offer solutions that will address your organizing challenges. All services are 100% judgement-free!

  • You can decide whether you’d like to work alongside us or prefer a fully “done-for-you” experience.

    If we’re working together, you’ll make decisions about what to keep, toss, donate, or relocate in real time. If you’re not around, each category will be labeled clearly so you can review and make decisions before our next session.

  • Absolutely not. It is 100% up to you what stays and what goes.

    Along the way, we will encourage you to consider how each item will move you toward or away from your project goals.

    (Spoiler alert: If you have fewer items in a space, it’s easier to put them away — and find what you need!)

  • If we find products would be helpful for your project, it’s up to you whether we use what you’ve already got or would like to buy something new. Most clients do not end up purchasing products.

    Organizing products are not included in the cost of Second Nature’s services.

  • The length of a project depends on the size of the space, how many items are in it, and how quickly you can make decisions about what to do with your belongings. If you are working alongside us and can make decisions about your items quickly, your project will take less time.

  • Yes! Many Second Nature clients have ADHD. Our organizing solutions are personalized to each client, so we are happy to help dream up the perfect system that aligns to how your brain works!
